Gönyeli–Alayköy Strengthens Stormwater Infrastructure After Heavy Rains
Hüseyin Amcaoğlu, the Mayor of Gönyeli–Alayköy, announced the continuation of efforts to strengthen the city's infrastructure.
According to him, following heavy rainfall, large-scale modernization works for the drainage system were launched in the city. Currently, crews are continuing their work on Acısu Street.
Based on technical recommendations, a second 1000 mm diameter line is being laid alongside the existing 1000 mm stormwater pipe. This will significantly increase the capacity of the drainage system.
The Mayor emphasized that the primary goal of the project is to minimize the risk of flooding in the area during heavy rains.
