Mayor of Girne: Tender for E-Bikes Completed
Mayor of Girne, Murat Şenkul, announced that the tender for the supply of electric bicycles was completed yesterday.
“The e-bike tender we launched — aimed at easing city traffic even slightly, helping tourists visiting our city create memories and enjoy their time, and encouraging locals to return to cycling — was finalized yesterday,” the mayor wrote on social media. “It represents a significant investment of 37 million Turkish lira and accounts for 11% of the municipality’s annual revenue.”
He added, “We also want the public to know that all income the municipality earns from this project will be used to develop pedestrian and cycling paths along our city’s coastline — both to the east and west.”
