Two Arrested in Kyrenia Over Theft and Assault Case
In Kyrenia, police have detained two individuals in a case involving "theft by an employee, robbery, threats of violence, and causing grievous bodily harm."
According to police reports, in September 2025, a 27-year-old cashier identified as M.S.H. allegedly stole a large quantity of food products: 250 kg of chicken, 486 kg of mozzarella, 317 kg of red meat, 125 kg of ice cream, 318 kg of french fries, and 12 kg of peppers, as well as cash from online orders by bypassing the cash register system.
Later, on February 15, the 55-year-old business owner, M.O., suspecting the cashier of theft, allegedly threatened him with violence, assaulted him, and took his iPhone 16 Pro Max mobile phone. Both suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
