Fire broke out in a residential building in Yeniboazici: three people injured

On the night of December 17, a fire broke out in an apartment of a multi-story building on Istiklal Street in Yeniboazici. The incident caused panic among the residents.
According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by an electric blanket left switched on. As a result, the mattress caught fire.
Firefighting teams were promptly dispatched to the scene and managed to fully extinguish the fire. Cooling operations continued after the fire was put out.
During the fire, three residents of the building suffered smoke inhalation. The injured were taken by ambulance to Famagusta State Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
Law enforcement authorities reported that an investigation into the incident is underway.
