Verdict delivered in İskele personal data case: fine of 112 thousand lira

The İskele District Court imposed a fine of 112 thousand Turkish lira on Republic of Cyprus citizen Anni Kyprianou. The decision is related to violations of legislation on the protection of personal data and private life.
According to the case materials, part of the fine — 12 thousand lira — was imposed for the unlawful use of personal data, and another 100 thousand lira — for violation of the inviolability of private life. The court took into account the admission of guilt and other mitigating circumstances.
In the event of non-payment of the fine within the установленный срок, the punishment may be replaced by imprisonment.
