In Haspolat, a drunk driver hit a pedestrian

In Haspolat, on the campus of the International Cyprus University (ICU), an accident involving an injured person occurred. According to police, on the evening of December 27 around 18:00, 43-year-old driver Cumhur Yorulmaz (vehicle RA 740) hit 18-year-old Mahmoud Mohamed Badawı Eltaher, who was crossing the road near Molto Market.
An alcohol test showed 226 mg of alcohol in the driver’s blood. The injured person was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia: doctors diagnosed a broken arm, and he remains under observation in the orthopedic department. The driver was detained, and the investigation continues.
