In Lefke, the Kafizes dam overflowed due to heavy rains
The Lefke Municipality reported a sharp rise in water levels in the region due to prolonged and intense rainfall. According to the authorities, the Kafizes dam has completely filled, and excess water has begun to overflow toward the Gemikonagi dam.
The official statement notes that municipal specialists and relevant services are monitoring water levels in the dams and the condition of hydraulic structures around the clock. Necessary inspections and preventive measures are being carried out in the area to prevent potential risks.
