Free symphony concerts to be held in Nicosia and Famagusta
The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU / DAÜ), in collaboration with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO), will hold two concerts in Northern Cyprus.
The performances will take place:
- April 9 at 20:00 — at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center in Famagusta
- April 10 at 20:00 — at the Presidential Mavi Salon in Nicosia
The concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
The program features several significant musical milestones, including the world premiere of the piece "Kanlı Dere Symphonic Poem" by composer Ali Hoca. Additionally, the works "Taksim ve Semai" and "Oyun" will receive their Northern Cyprus premieres.
The concerts will feature Eastern Mediterranean University academics — Professor Çetin Aydar and pianist Dr. Atakan Sarı — with the orchestra conducted by Ali Hoca.
Organizers note that the event will be a major cultural highlight, showcasing the collaboration between the university and one of the country's leading musical ensembles.
