A free exhibition "Art, Memory and Future" opened in Lefkoşa: 50 works by 15 artists
The Cyprus Museum of Modern Art concludes 2025 with the year-end exhibition "Güzel Sanatlar Yıl Sonu Sergisi," bringing together art, institutional memory, and a vision for the future under one roof. The exhibition opened at the GÜNSEL Art Museum (Günsel Tower).
The exhibition features 50 works — painting, sculpture, ceramics, and print graphics. They were specially prepared by 15 award-winning faculty artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Near East University (Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi).
A separate part of the project is dedicated to the university's "memory": archival footage from the groundbreaking ceremony of the first campus building is displayed on a digital screen as a visual history of the university's development.
The exhibition is open for free visits until January 6.
