Kitten stuck in building shaft rescued in Nicosia
In Nicosia, rescuers carried out an operation to save a small kitten that was stuck in the technical space of a residential building.
According to the Civil Defense Organization (Sivil Savunma Teşkilatı Başkanlığı), search and rescue units were dispatched to the scene along with the fire service.
To reach the animal without causing it harm, rescuers conducted a delicate operation and were able to safely extract the kitten from the trap.
It is reported that the animal is doing well after the rescue, and residents of the building watched the operation.
The Civil Defense service reminded that in such situations, it is necessary to contact emergency services as quickly as possible.
