Cultural and Art Days of Iskele Municipality to be Held in March

The 13th Cultural and Art Days of Iskele Municipality will take place in Northern Cyprus from March 4th to March 29th, 2024. All events will be free of charge.

The Cultural and Art Days of Iskele Municipality will commence on Monday, March 4th, with an opening ceremony and a choir concert of the Iskele Municipality.

Various events will be held within the framework of the cultural days at the Iskele Municipality Cultural Center and the Atatürk Cultural Center in Iskele until March 29th.

The honorary guest of the Cultural and Art Days of Iskele Municipality will be the Turkish theater and film actress Nazan Kesal. On Thursday, March 7th, the actress will perform her monodrama "My Love Wounds," written by Şebnem İşigüzel and directed by Berfin Zendelioglu. Following the performance, a screening of the 2013 short film "Salındjakh" will take place.

Additionally, as part of the events, on Friday, March 8th, and Tuesday, March 12th, there will be a Night of Foreign Countries.

On Friday, March 15th, there will be a Gastronomic Conversation and a master class with Masterchef Tanya Kilickaya and Ugur Yilmaz Deniz.

The cultural days will also feature a "Meeting of Poets and Writers," an "Exhibition of Women's Crafts," performances by the Mutriban group, and a whirling dervishes show.

As part of the Cultural and Art Days, on Wednesday, March 13th, Cypriot writer Yunver Alibey will visit the Bekirpaşa and Iskele high schools.

Furthermore, on March 27th, on World Theatre Day, the stage will be set at the Iskele Municipal Theater (İBT). The IBT team will meet theater enthusiasts with their new play "Dangerous Obsession," directed by Sami Yakar, on Wednesday, March 27th, at 19:30 at the Iskele Cultural Center.

The Cultural and Art Days will conclude with a concert of "Traditional Cypriot Songs" performed by the Polyphonic Choir "Othello." The concert will take place at the Iskele Cultural Center at 19:30.
