Hunter Wounded in Mehmetçik Due to Accidental Discharge
An accident occurred during a hunt in the Mehmetçik area, within hunting zone No. 8.
According to police, on February 22, 2026, at around 08:30 AM, a 27-year-old man (A.T.Ö.) was hunting with a shotgun registered in his name. At one point, the weapon slipped from his hands and accidentally discharged.
As a result, the man sustained an injury to the upper part of his right ankle. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
