Water supply temporarily cut in some areas of Northern Cyprus
The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Northern Cyprus has announced a temporary water shutdown in areas supplied by the Değirmenlik and Tepebaşı reservoirs.
The restrictions are due to planned maintenance at the Değirmenlik pumping station, carried out as part of the project to supply water from Turkey to Northern Cyprus.
According to the ministry, additional projects involving reservoir connections and the construction of new nodal systems will also be performed during the works. Maintenance will begin tomorrow and last until April 19.
During the maintenance period, water supply will be maintained using local drinking water sources.
Authorities have urged residents to use water economically and rationally until the technical work is completed.
