In Nicosia, 1.5 kilograms of narcotics were seized, and three individuals were arrested
In Nicosia, 1.5 kilograms of narcotics and cash were confiscated. Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of possessing prohibited substances.
According to the police press service, the “Handcuffs” operation was conducted yesterday in Nicosia by teams from the Drug Enforcement and Smuggling Control Department.
Around 14:30, during a search of the house belonging to two suspects, slightly over a kilogram of narcotics, presumably cannabis, sensitive scales, and cash totaling about 10,400 Turkish liras were discovered. The police suspect that the money was obtained from drug sales. All evidence was seized for forensic examination.
Two men, aged 30 and 31, residing in the house, have been detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, along with another 25-year-old man who, according to the investigation, may be involved in drug trafficking.
All three suspects have been arrested. The police investigation is ongoing.
