Drunk Driver in Nicosia Strikes Woman with Stroller Carrying Two Children
In Nicosia, a drunk driver caused yet another accident, this time hitting a woman who was crossing the street with a stroller carrying two young children.
According to the police statement, the incident occurred yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Kyrenia Street and Mufti Ziya Street. The 54-year-old driver, who was under the influence of alcohol, struck a 57-year-old woman as she crossed the road with her stroller and two children.
The injured woman was taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where she is being treated in the orthopedics department for a fractured right leg. Fortunately, the children were unharmed in the incident.
Legal action has been initiated against the driver, and an investigation is currently underway.
