Counterfeit $2,000 in fake banknotes were discovered at a bank in Kyrenia.

The incident occurred on September 12. An unknown man brought 20 counterfeit $100 bills to the financial institution. The bank staff identified the fake currency, and the man was arrested. Criminal charges have been filed against him.

The police have provided the serial numbers of the counterfeit bills:

Authorities are urging citizens, banks, exchange offices, financial institutions, and markets to be cautious when handling $100 bills with these serial numbers to prevent the counterfeit money from circulating. Any suspicious bills should be reported to the police.
