Final Discussion on the 2025 Budget Begins in the TRNC Parliament
The General Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has begun discussions today on the "Draft Budget of the Central Government Administration for the 2025 fiscal year." The first day’s agenda focuses on the budgets of the President of the TRNC and the Republican Assembly.

During today’s session, the TRNC Parliament will review the report from the Committee on Economics, Finance, Budget, and Planning regarding the budget bill. The discussion will kick off with an address by the Minister of Finance, Özdemir Bero.
Following the presentation of the report and the overall discussion of the draft bill, the national budget for the upcoming year, estimated at 136.9 billion Turkish liras, will be reviewed item by item. The first items to be discussed will be the budgets for the President's office and the Republican Assembly.
The proposed budget for 2025 allocates 619.5 million Turkish liras for the Presidential Administration and 574.3 million Turkish liras for the Republican Assembly.
The schedule for further budget discussions in Parliament, beginning tomorrow, will be clarified at today’s session.
The budget proposal was reviewed over eight sessions between November 19 and 28 in the Committee on Economics, Finance, Budget, and Planning, and has now been submitted to the General Assembly for approval.
Last week, the General Assembly was not held due to hearings regarding the Isias Hotel.
