Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 recorded in Aşkale, Erzurum province
According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), on September 25, 2025, at 11:29, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred in the Aşkale district of Erzurum province.
The depth of the tremors was 7 kilometers.
The mayor of Aşkale, Şenol Polat, reported that no negative consequences were recorded. According to him, working groups continue their operations on site.
The report also mentions an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 in Balıkesir province.
There is no official information about casualties or damage.
