An emaciated mouflon rescued in the Yeşilırmak area: condition critical

In the Yeşilırmak area, an elderly mouflon was found lying on the ground in a motionless and extremely emaciated state. After a report from local residents, the animal was promptly rescued by staff from the Tashkent Nature Park.
Specialists who arrived at the scene transported the mouflon to a center where it was immediately placed under medical observation.
Park director Kemal Basat reported that an initial clinical examination revealed the animal to be in extremely poor overall condition. Laboratory tests showed sharply reduced blood values as well as a widespread infection in the body.
According to Basat, the mouflon was very old and severely weakened. It was urgently prescribed infusion therapy and began medical treatment.
“The animal’s condition is critical. It is in intensive care and under constant observation,” said the park director.
It is reported that treatment is ongoing, and the next few hours will be crucial for the animal’s life.
