Kazakh Businesswomen Visit the TRNC
A delegation from the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan, led by Saira Aytenovna Matayeva, has arrived in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The group was warmly welcomed by the TRNC’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu.
Also present at the reception were İçim Çağiner Kavuklu, President of the Association of Staff and Spouses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DIMED), and President of the Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Association (GIKAD).
In his welcoming speech, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu emphasized the crucial role women play in strengthening relationships between Turkic-speaking countries.
The Minister also provided the guests with an in-depth overview of the historical context of the Cyprus issue, its ongoing developments, and the legitimate struggle of the Turkish Cypriots.
“The support from your country and from you as women is extremely valuable to us. Women play a significant role in fostering these relationships. I hope that mutual visits like this one will continue to grow,” the Minister remarked.
In response, Saira Matayeva expressed that the delegation was deeply impressed by the comprehensive information about Northern Cyprus. She assured that Kazakh businesswomen would share these insights with their homeland upon their return.
