Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) surgeries continue to be performed in the TRNC for the treatment of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.

As reported by neurosurgeon Çağın Ozankaya, the neuromodulation team successfully performed another operation, giving the patient a chance for improvement.

According to the doctor, such surgeries help reduce the frequency of seizures and improve the patients' quality of life. He noted that the positive treatment outcomes were made possible through precise patient selection, a scientific approach, and the work of a multidisciplinary team.

Ozankaya emphasized that neuromodulation is considered one of the promising treatment methods of the future, and specialists intend to continue developing this field in the TRNC.

He also thanked the Ministry of Health, the hospital management, and the medical team members for their support in carrying out these operations.
