In the TRNC, a brutal murder of a businesswoman has been committed: the suspects have fled to the south
Another shocking murder has occurred in the TRNC, shaking the entire country. This time, the victim of the robbers was a 45-year-old businesswoman, Aychi Alav. The body of the businesswoman was found in the "HİT BİT" betting office in Nicosia, next to her currency exchange office "Alav Döviz." The criminals may be hiding in the Republic of Cyprus.
The tragedy occurred last Friday. Relatives of the murdered woman raised the alarm after she did not pick up her child from school. Around 21:00, the police, arriving at the scene of the victim's workplace, discovered Aychi Alav's lifeless body, tied hands and feet, with her mouth taped shut.
According to the investigation, the motive for the murder was robbery. Two men tied the victim's hands with an antenna cable and wrapped her face with a towel, sealing it with tape. As the autopsy revealed, the cause of the woman's death was asphyxiation: she suffocated. After the murder, the suspects went to the "Alav Döviz" exchange, which operates nearby, and stole money and personal belongings from the deceased.
According to available information, the killers managed to escape to the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. Later, Aychi Alav's phone was found in a supermarket in Minareliköy. However, the police promptly arrested two accomplices - Pakistani Saddam Hussein and Cameroonian Frank Leon Donho. It is assumed that they helped the murderers escape across the border. According to surveillance camera recordings, Saddam Hussein drove the suspects to the border in his car.
Yesterday, the detainees were brought to court. As part of the investigation, they have been arrested for three days.
It is worth noting that the President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, intervened in the investigation of the crime. After receiving information that two suspects had fled to South Cyprus, the head of the state initiated the necessary procedures for the arrest and extradition of the criminals.
