"Mediterranean Storm" Exercises Successfully Concluded in TRNC
The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey (MSB) has announced the successful completion of the “Mediterranean Storm — Captain Martyr Cengiz Topel” exercises. The maneuvers took place in Northern Cyprus from September 16 to 19.
Participating in the exercises were the land, naval, and air forces of both the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The exercises were observed by the President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar; the Commander of the Air Force, General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu; and the Commander of the Turkish Cypriot Peacekeeping Forces, Major General Sebahattin Kılınç.
The goal of these maneuvers was to enhance training, cooperation, and operational compatibility between the command of the Turkish Cypriot peace forces and the security forces.
At the conclusion of the exercises, the head of Northern Cyprus presented certificates of appreciation to the participants.
