Elderly Foreign Inmate Dies in TRNC Central Prison
A 78-year-old foreign national serving time in Northern Cyprus has passed away while in custody at the Central Prison. Anthony Edward Bolger died in the urology department of the emergency hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for two days.
According to local media, Bolger was admitted to the hospital on Monday, March 24, and remained under medical supervision.
The police press office confirmed that he passed away the following afternoon at around 3:10 PM. The exact cause of death will be determined after an autopsy. A police investigation is ongoing.
