Fires rage in Turkey and Greece
A severe fire has engulfed the İzmir province in western Turkey, with smoke covering the Foça district.
The fire started in agricultural lands and spread to the forest due to the wind. Four airplanes and three helicopters are involved in firefighting efforts.
Yesterday and last night, emergency evacuations of residents took place in the region. Simultaneously, fires intensified in the Manisa province, approaching the city closely.
In addition, fire has engulfed a forest in Greece near Kavala. The fire started in the morning and continues to spread.
