A diploma award ceremony was held at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). The President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, attended the graduation ceremony.

Graduation ceremonies and diploma presentations to graduates of the fall semester of the Eastern Mediterranean University for the 2023-2024 academic year took place on January 30-31.

At the ceremony on January 30 at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Center, diplomas were awarded to more than 200 master's and doctoral students.

At the graduation evening on January 31, at the Lala Mustafa Pasha Sports Palace, diplomas were awarded to over 800 graduates of junior courses and bachelor's degrees.

In his speech at the graduation evening, the head of Northern Cyprus noted that the Eastern Mediterranean University is a successful educational institution at the international level with its academic staff, infrastructure, and quality education.

The President also emphasized that students from 120 different countries are studying at EMU, and the experience gained during their university years is truly invaluable.

Addressing the graduates, Ersin Tatar reminded them that the education received at the university and the friendships formed over the years of study will greatly contribute to their professional careers: graduates can stay in touch and support each other through communication channels, wherever they may be.

At the end of his speech, the President of the TRNC congratulated the graduates and their families and wished them to continue their personal development, develop their vision, integrate it with universal values, and serve the people of their country.

It should be noted that the total number of EMU graduates in 2024, including those who graduated in the fall semester, will exceed 72,000 people.
