TRNC Authorities Condemn Terrorist Attack in Ankara
The authorities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have condemned the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), which took place last night in Ankara. Leaders of Northern Cyprus have sent their condolences to the people of Turkey.
In his statement, TRNC President Ersin Tatar strongly condemned the act of terrorism and extended his condolences to the grieving families and the Turkish nation.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, along with the entire cabinet of ministers, also issued statements expressing their condemnation and offering their condolences.
As a reminder, the attack on the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) in Ankara occurred last night. Three armed individuals stormed the building, set off an explosive device, and engaged in a shootout. The attack resulted in five deaths and 22 injuries. The terrorists were neutralized.
The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is believed to be behind the attack.
