Concrete mixer driver fined for polluting the road on the Büyükkonuk–Kaplıca section

The police of Northern Cyprus fined a concrete mixer driver who spilled residual concrete onto the roadway while driving on the Büyükkonuk–Kaplıca route.
According to the police press service, the inspection was prompted by video footage that appeared on social media, showing concrete leaking from the mixer directly onto the road. After the video was published, traffic police officers in İskele quickly identified the driver and the vehicle.
The driver was issued a fine of 6,061 Turkish lira and 80 kuruş.
After the completion of legal procedures, the police obliged the company owning the vehicle to clean the road of concrete waste. The cleanup of the contaminated section was carried out.
