Near Geçitkoy, a concrete mixer overturned: the driver was injured
An accident involving a concrete mixer occurred in Northern Cyprus. As a result of the crash, the truck driver was injured.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday afternoon around 14:20, between the 1st and 2nd kilometers of the main road from Geçitkale to Kyrenia. The 54-year-old concrete mixer driver lost control while making a right turn, causing the truck to overturn on the left side of the road. The driver sustained injuries from shards of the shattered windshield.
After receiving first aid, the injured driver was taken by ambulance to the state hospital in Nicosia. He is currently under the observation of medical staff. The investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
