Temporary road closure in Gönyeli for the “Gönyeli-Alayköy” rally

In Gonyeli, as well as in the villages of Kanlikoy, Aktepe, and Alaykoy, the "Gonyeli-Alaykoy" rally will take place today, organized by the Northern Cyprus Tourism and Automobile Club (Kuzey Kıbrıs Turing ve Otomobil Kurumu). The event will include a special city stage, which will lead to temporary traffic restrictions.
Specifically, the section of Gonyeli Municipality Boulevard between the intersection near the Bereket Fırını bakery and the Damdelen Alpet Petrol gas station will be closed to vehicular traffic:
- September 11 (Thursday) from 20:00 to 01:00
- September 12 (Friday) from 15:00 to 24:00
During these days, traffic will be organized along alternative routes. The police have advised drivers to be especially careful, follow road signs, and obey the instructions of law enforcement officers to ensure the safety of both themselves and the event participants.
According to official information, on September 13 (Saturday) no road restrictions will be imposed, as other special rally sections are planned in the Kanlikoy, Aktepe, and Alaykoy areas, where road closures are not required.
