Drunk driver crashes into an electricity pole in Gaziveren

A road traffic accident involving a driver under the influence of alcohol occurred in Gaziveren on the evening of February 5.
According to the police press service, at around 19:00 on Birinci Caddesi, 45-year-old Yılmaz Avlık was driving a passenger car with registration number EG 051 westbound. The driver was under the influence of alcohol — 145 milligrams. Due to inattention, he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed into an electricity pole.
No one was injured as a result of the accident.
The driver was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a traffic accident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
