Ercan Airport to Handle 878 Flights During 10-Day Kurban Bayram Celebration
Preparations are underway in Northern Cyprus for one of the most significant Islamic holidays, Kurban Bayram. Over the 10-day holiday period, Ercan Airport will handle 878 flights.
According to T&T Airport Management, from June 14 to June 23, the airport in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will accommodate 439 arriving and 439 departing aircraft, including regular, charter, and additional flights, excluding private jets.
It is also noted that, due to the extension of Kurban Bayram celebrations in Turkey to nine days, Northern Cyprus is expecting a high influx of passengers from Turkey.
The highest flight density at the airport is expected on Sunday, June 16. On the first day of the holiday, 98 flights will be handled: 49 arrivals and 49 departures.
On Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, Ercan Airport is expected to handle 44 arrivals and 44 departures each day. On the last day of the holiday, Sunday, June 23, the airport will accommodate 47 arrivals and 47 departures.
T&T Airport management has taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of passengers.
