Residents of Güzelyurt mass complained about the municipal slaughterhouse.
Police conducted a raid on the slaughterhouse in Güzelüyurt. 23 animals were found without ear tags.
According to local media, numerous complaints about the slaughterhouse from local residents prompted the inspection by relevant authorities and the police.
A joint raid on the facility, owned by the municipality, was carried out yesterday evening by the Veterinary Department and the police. During the inspection, 23 animals were found without ear tags.
The publication notes that the slaughterhouse under review has been subject to strong criticism, as the law strictly prohibits both small and large cattle from entering slaughterhouses without ear tags without exception.
