The TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transport has officially published the following rates for 2025:

What you need to know about obtaining a driving license in the TRNC
Northern Cyprus driving licenses are recognized throughout the TRNC. The process includes theoretical and practical exams conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
Licenses to drive a bus or truck can only be obtained after at least 5 years of experience driving a passenger car.
Main documents required to obtain a license:
- Passport or residence permit
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Medical certificate
- Completed application form
Training is conducted in licensed driving schools (Şoför Okulu). Course fees range from 17,000 TL to 25,000 TL depending on the category (A, B, D, H) and chosen school. Upon completion, candidates are eligible for the exams, including both theory and practical tests.
