Upon entry to Northern Cyprus, a tourist stamp for 30 days is usually issued. It can be extended at the Central Police Department in Lefkoşa (Şht. Mustafa Hacı Yusuf Sk, Lefkoşa 99010) on weekdays from 09:00 to 12:30. To extend it, as a rule, it is sufficient to bring at least one supporting document: the original sale and purchase agreement with a stamp, the original property ownership document (title deed), or a hotel bill. How to extend a tourist visa

If you arrived in Northern Cyprus on a tourist stamp and want to extend your stay, you need to apply to the Central Police Department.

Extension applications are usually accepted every weekday from 09:00 to 12:30.

  1. Check the validity of the tourist stamp in your passport and come during reception hours (weekdays, 09:00–12:30).
  2. Prepare at least one supporting document from the list below (preferably the original).
