How to extend a tourist visa in Cyprus

If you came to Northern Cyprus on a tourist visa and want to extend your stay, you need to go to the police station, which is located at: Turkish Cypriot Police Headquarters. The visa is extended every weekday from 09:00 to 12:30.

Documents for visa extension

To extend your visa, you need to have at least one of the following documents:

• Original taxed and sealed home sale agreement. (can benefit from mother, father, husband-wife, or children).
• Original house deed (property document).
• If staying in the hotel, the invoice is received from the hotel.

Situations when the visa is not extended

The visa is not extended in the following cases:

• Extensions cannot be made to people who stay in the rented house.
• Reservations and invoices in the electronic environment are not accepted (for example: air bnb, booking etc.).
• People who stay with a friend, sister, brother, or other relatives cannot make an extension.
• Houses rented with a holiday concept cannot be used for a visa extension. (SHOULD BE HOTEL.)
