How to apply for a schengen visa in northern cyprus

Updated: 4 months ago

Despite its status as an unrecognized republic, you can apply for a Schengen visa in TRNC through companies that have access to representatives of the consulates of Germany and Italy.

As of July 2023, the Italian consulate is not accepting documents for a tourist visa. The German consulate is representing Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, and the Netherlands.

To apply, you must have a 100% valid residence permit, valid for three months after the end of the trip. If your residence permit ends earlier, the visa will be issued for a period not exceeding its expiration date. You can also submit documents about the resident permit renewal process with 60% progress.

If there are no Schengen visas issued in the passport within the last five years, you can only apply for a single-entry visa. In this case, fingerprints will be taken at the consulate interview.
