History of Pafos Zoo
The project began with the founder’s love for birds and wildlife. Initially, the area was created as a place to house a large collection of birds, and later the zoo was opened to the public with the goal of education and promoting careful treatment of animals. Construction took about 3 years, and in September 2003, the zoo opened its doors to visitors.
Pafos Zoo Today
Pafos Zoo is set in a natural environment and occupies an area of more than 100,000 m². It is one of the prominent tourist locations in the Pafos region: besides animal exhibits, there are walking paths, relaxation areas, and an amphitheater for shows.
Good to know: the official website has a separate zoo map to plan your visit in advance.
