Finikoudes Beach

Finikoudes is the main beach of Larnaca, located in the center of the resort area between the Old and New Harbor. This beach is compact: the length of the developed recreation area is 500 meters, and the width of the sandy strip varies from 30 to 100 meters.

The season at Finikoudes Beach starts earlier than at other beaches in Larnaca: thanks to the shallow water, it warms up faster here, and you can swim as early as mid-March, although the comfortable swimming temperature is established in early May. The season lasts until October.

At first glance, the beach may not seem very picturesque. The sand has a clayey structure and a grayish hue due to its volcanic origin. However, the water at this beach is exceptionally clean, and the entrance to the sea is gentle, sandy, and free of rocks. This beach is perfect for families with children, although sometimes you may need to walk 25-30 meters to reach a decent depth.

Mackenzie Beach

Mackenzie Beach ranks second in popularity among Larnaca's beaches - in terms of the number of visitors, it is second only to the central Finikoudes Beach. However, unlike Finikoudes, Mackenzie has a considerable length - 1 kilometer. The sea entrance is gradual, and the season on this beach starts around mid or late May and lasts until October.

The sand on the beach may not look very appealing due to its grayish hue, but it is important to note that Mackenzie Beach, like many other beaches in Cyprus, has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for cleanliness.

The beach is also notable for allowing tourists to watch planes landing, unofficially earning it the nickname "Plane Beach." Many photos from Mackenzie Beach feature planes in the background.

Mazotos Beach

Mazotos Beach stretches for 7 kilometers and consists mainly of pebbles and black sand. This beach is particularly attractive for those who prefer a "wild" vacation away from the city hustle and bustle. Due to its remoteness from major cities and resorts, there are few visitors here, and in some areas, you may not encounter anyone at all. Mostly local residents with families come to this beach to relax away from the crowds of tourists who prefer more popular resort areas in Larnaca. There is almost no vegetation and shade, so it's advisable to bring a sunshade.

Castela Beach

A small and cozy beach near the center of Larnaca. Along with Finikoudes and Mackenzie, it is part of the trio of beaches officially designated within the Larnaca municipal area. This beach is about 400 meters long and has a width that varies from 20 to 70 meters.

The beach is covered with sand, which mostly has a brownish-gray hue due to volcanic ash impurities. The seabed is also sandy and gently slopes into the water. There are hardly any strong waves here, and the water is clean and transparent. Castela Beach is a municipal beach, so access to it is free.

Kalimnos Beach

Kalimnos Beach is considered one of the most beautiful spots on the Pentakomo coastline in Larnaca. This small beach with sandy coverage and white rocky cliffs has been awarded the "Blue Flag," emphasizing its high level of comfort and cleanliness. Nearby Kalymnos Beach is the more famous Governors Beach, which can be reached by water. Governors Beach is already considered part of Limassol's beaches.

The sand on this beach has a gray hue due to its volcanic origin. The white cliffs surrounding the beach beautifully contrast with this sand, and along the cliffs, railings and stairs leading to the sea are installed. At the top, you can find a restaurant with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea.

Yanates

Yanates Beach is a public beach located in the settlement of Oroklini on the shores of Larnaca Bay, near the flamingo lake of the same name. The beach has been awarded the "Blue Flag" designation, which is given to beaches that meet strict standards of cleanliness and water safety.

The total length of the beach strip is about two kilometers. The sand on the beach varies in shades, mainly brown and beige, with small pebble patches. One of Yanates' features is the presence of numerous trees, including eucalyptus and palm trees, giving it a unique and memorable appearance, as well as providing natural shade.

Secret Paradise

Secret Paradise is one of the new beaches in Cyprus, stretching along the coastline of Larnaca in the Kiti area. The name of this secluded spot, translating from English as "Secret Paradise," is not chosen by chance - the beach truly seems hidden from prying eyes. To reach this beach, one must descend a long staircase.

Previously, this place was inaccessible, and visiting it required a quest-like journey, but with the establishment of a fishing harbor capable of accommodating many boats, the situation has changed.

Local authorities have actively worked on the beach's infrastructure: planting trees and developing facilities. As a result, in just a few years, this place has transformed into a full-fledged and popular beach, offering everything necessary for a pleasant stay.

Maia

Maia Beach is a small and cozy sandy beach located on the shores of one of Cyprus's most famous fishing villages, Agios Theodoros. The remoteness from major cities and popular tourist spots affects the character of this beach, creating an atmosphere of quiet and secluded relaxation. The main visitors to Maia Beach are locals, with occasional visits from foreign travelers.

The surface of Maia Beach is covered with dark gray sand with rare pebble inclusions, sometimes encountering small stones. The entrance to the sea is gradual, without sudden depth changes. The water here is clean and warm. The beach area is regularly cleaned, with the local municipality staff monitoring its condition.

Bamz

Bamz Beach is located on the coast of Larnaca, near Mackenzie Beach. Nearby, there is a water purification plant, and a 15-minute drive away is the airport. Beach Bumz is a spacious beach with open access.

The majority of the surface of this beach is covered with sand, sometimes encountering small rocks and vegetation. The gradual entry into the sea and moderate waves create excellent conditions for families with children. This beach is not equipped with special amenities, and people mainly come here by car.

Andreas & Melani

Andreas & Melani Beach is located on the outskirts of the small village of Pentakomo. It belongs to the eponymous three-star hotel but is accessible to all visitors. The coastline in the area features a lot of wild unspoiled nature without infrastructure, but this beach has umbrellas, sunbeds, and a cafe. Thanks to its sheltered location from winds and sandy sea entrance, this place is ideal for family vacations.
