The First Planetarium in Cyprus
On June 4, near the village of Episkopi, a new landmark of the island opened. The creators claim that this is the largest planetarium in the countries of the eastern Mediterranean.
Visitors can expect a dome simulating the starry sky, a helioscope for observing the sun, virtual reality rooms, cinemas for showing scientific films, and an amphitheater.
The main feature is an observatory under the dome with a 14-inch telescope and a 62-megapixel camera. Moreover, you can observe the sky not only from Cyprus - the planetarium broadcasts streams from other observatories around the planet.
The complex is surrounded by a beautiful landscaped park with an excellent playground for children, where you can have a snack at the Celestial café or restaurant.
- Show tickets: 11 euros for adults and 9 euros for children.
