In Malaysia, during a rehearsal for a parade celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Royal Navy, two military helicopters collided in the air. As a result of the tragedy, 10 people died.

The aviation disaster occurred during a training flight at the stadium in Lumut, in the state of Perak. All 10 crew members of the aircraft died.

Presumably, during the training, one of the helicopters touched the rotor of the other, causing both rotary-wing aircraft to crash into the ground.

According to "Vedomosti," the helicopters involved were the Eurocopter AS555SN Fennec and the Agusta-Westland AW-139. The Agusta crashed on the TLDM stadium stairs, while the Fennec fell into the swimming pool of the sports complex. The Fennec was operated by a crew of three, while the Agusta had seven crew members on board.

According to a statement from the Malaysian Navy, the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the hospital at the naval base in Lumut for identification. An investigative commission will be formed to investigate the incident.
