Sunny Weather with Mountain Showers Expected in Cyprus on August 21
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, Wednesday, August 21, will see the region influenced by seasonal low pressure.
In the morning, most of the island will experience predominantly sunny weather, although some areas may see increased low cloud cover. However, during the day, these clouds could result in isolated showers in the mountainous regions.
The meteorological service forecasts that daytime temperatures today will reach up to 40°C in the inland areas, around 32°C on the western and southwestern coasts, up to 34°C on the other coasts, and approximately 31°C in the mountainous regions.
By evening and overnight, the weather will remain mostly clear, but areas of increased low cloud cover are expected, particularly in the west and north. Later in the night and into the early morning hours, localized light fog may develop, especially in the southeastern regions.
Temperatures will drop to 21°C in the inland areas, 23°C on the coasts, and 18°C in the mountainous areas.
In the coming days, increased localized cloud cover is expected, which may bring isolated showers during the day in the mountains and possibly in the inland areas.
On Thursday, temperatures will decrease, hovering around the average climatic values, and will remain at these levels until Saturday.
