On January 26, Cyprus is expecting rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the mountains
According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department, on Friday, January 26, the region will temporarily be influenced by a low-pressure system concentrated in the northeast of the island. Weak low pressure is expected from the second half of the day.
Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be predominantly cloudy, with possible local rain and isolated thunderstorms. Snowfall is expected in the highlands. It is expected that the weather will improve in the second half of the day.
According to the meteorological forecast service, today during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 14°C in the inland areas, up to 16°C on the coast, and down to 5°C in the mountainous regions.
By evening and night, locally increased cloudiness may result in isolated showers, mainly in coastal areas. The air temperature will drop to around 4°C inland, down to 7°C on the coasts, and down to 0°C in the mountainous regions, where local frosts are expected.
The temperature on Saturday will remain approximately at the same level as Friday, and by Monday, it will gradually decrease and stay below the average climatic values for the season.
