55 families from Larnaca will receive support for the New Year and Christmas
In Larnaca, a collection of donations is taking place for those in need. A total of 55 families will receive support from the food bank.
As reported to the Cyprus News Agency by the head of the charitable organization Kokos Erasimou, there is a large number of applications under consideration, so the final number of families that will receive support may increase.
Financial contributions for the purchase of meat, vegetables, Christmas sweets, and other food products have been made by members of the community, as well as businesses, banks, and religious organizations. In addition, donations are being collected in schools. Food packages will be distributed to those in need on December 22 for Christmas and on December 29 in honor of the New Year.
Last year, 105 families received support as part of the project.
