Rain, Thunderstorms, Snow, and Frost Persist in Cyprus on February 6
The Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department reports that a low-pressure system, combined with a cold air mass and strong northern winds, will continue to affect the island on Thursday, February 6.
In the morning, partly cloudy skies are expected, with scattered showers mainly in the west and north. Light snowfall is also likely in the mountains.
Temperature Forecast:
- Daytime: Around 12°C inland, 14°C along the coast, and 1°C in the mountains, where frost will persist.
- Evening & Night: Mostly cloudy, with light rain possible along the coast and light snow in the mountains. Temperatures will drop to around 2°C inland, 8°C on the northern coast, 6°C on other coastal areas, and -4°C in the mountains, where freezing conditions will continue.
As of the latest update, snow depth in Troodos ranges from 13 to 16 cm.
Outlook for the Coming Days:
- Friday: Temperatures will remain below seasonal averages.
- Saturday: A slight warm-up is expected.
- Sunday: No significant temperature changes.
