7th International Radisson Blu Marathon Scheduled for November 17
Larnaca is gearing up to host the 7th International Radisson Blu Marathon. This annual event will take place on November 17.
This year, thousands of athletes from around the world are expected to converge in Larnaca for the island's largest sporting celebration. The marathon will kick off on Sunday, November 17, at Finikoudes Beach, offering participants a choice of seven different routes.
The festivities will begin with the main event, featuring the full marathon, half-marathon, and a 10 km race. In addition, there will be a 5 km run, a corporate race, and a 1 km children’s run sponsored by McDonald’s.
This year's special guest is Greek Paralympic athlete and world champion Stelios Malakopoulos. A world record holder in long jump, Malakopoulos lost both legs in a tragic accident at the age of 19 but has continued to compete and achieve remarkable success. He will attempt to set a new record by participating in the 5 km race.
