AEGEAN and Hermes Airports launch direct Larnaca–Brussels flight
AEGEAN Airlines, together with Hermes Airports, held a ceremony at Larnaca International Airport “Glafkos Clerides” to mark the start of the direct Larnaca–Brussels route from 1 December 2025.
In December, AEGEAN will operate three direct flights per week on this route. From 1 January to 30 June 2026, the frequency will increase to five flights per week.
The route launch is described as an operational measure ahead of the Republic of Cyprus’ Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As part of its 2026 expansion, AEGEAN plans to increase passenger capacity by 8% compared to 2025; a total of about 1.5 million seats will be offered to and from Cyprus.
Marina Valvi, AEGEAN’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications, noted that the new route will improve access to an important European destination and enhance Cyprus’ connectivity. Maria Kurupi, Director of Aviation Development, Marketing, and Communications at Hermes Airports, stated the intention to support the route to promote the island among the Belgian audience.
In addition to Brussels, AEGEAN will resume direct flights to Heraklion from 2 December — two flights per week — and continue up to seven daily flights to Athens, up to seven weekly to Thessaloniki, and up to eight weekly to Tel Aviv.
