Holy Fire to be delivered to Cyprus by special flight

On Holy Saturday, the Holy Fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem will be delivered to Cyprus by a special flight.
The Holy Fire ceremony will take place in the Old City of Jerusalem under increased security measures. Israeli authorities stated that despite the tense situation in the region, holding the ceremony has been deemed safe.
The Holy Fire will be brought to the island via a special Aegean Airlines flight. The aircraft will depart from Tel Aviv and arrive at Larnaca International Airport Glafcos Clerides at approximately 17:00.
Upon arrival, the fire will be handed over to church representatives, who will distribute it to parishes across the island. For believers, this symbolizes the beginning of Easter and the hope of resurrection.
