Nine people endangered in Larnaca house fire
A house fire broke out in Larnaca early in the morning, leaving nine people in danger.
According to the Cyprus Fire Service, all residents managed to evacuate the building before rescuers arrived. One person was taken to the hospital as a precaution after suffering a panic attack, while the others were treated at the scene by paramedics for potential smoke inhalation.
Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis stated that the main theory for the cause of the fire is faulty electrical wiring; however, the investigation is considering all possibilities.
The fire severely damaged the second floor of the house and caused the wooden roof to collapse. The investigation is being conducted by the fire service, the electromechanical service, and the police.
