Two Chihuahua puppies found abandoned in the Academy Park in Aglantzia, Nicosia
Two Chihuahua puppies were found abandoned and frightened in the fenced area of Academy Park in Aglantzia, Nicosia, last month.
According to Sigmalive, the puppies were temporarily taken under the care of animal lover Kiveli for a few days, who brought them to a veterinary clinic for the necessary medical attention.
The veterinary clinic reported that the condition of both animals has now improved. One of the puppies required additional care due to a serious jaw issue. Surgical intervention was considered, but the operation will ultimately not take place, as it proved impossible, according to the clinic.
The case raised concern among local residents, sources note. Previously, Sigmalive had also published a report about abandoned puppies found in Nicosia.
For residents, the information means that the found animals have received veterinary care and are under supervision. All details regarding treatment and the current condition of the animals were provided by the veterinary clinic and the volunteer working with the animals.
