Two women reported frauds in Limassol and Paphos
Two online frauds were reported to the crime investigation departments of Limassol and Paphos on September 25, 2025, reports Alpha News Live.
In the first case, a 74-year-old woman stated that between June and August 2025, during correspondence with an unknown person on a social network, she transferred several bank payments to a foreign account totaling €18,000, expecting a refund that did not occur.
In the second case, a 59-year-old woman indicated that in September 2025 she prepaid through a website the rent of an apartment in Paphos for €1,070. Upon arrival at the specified address, the apartment was not found. Attempts to contact the website for clarification were unsuccessful.
The crime investigation departments of Limassol and Paphos continue to investigate both cases. No official comments on arrests or refund of funds have been made.
